Information You Submit
Search-box entries, including a name, phone number, or address, are sent to the outside provider that delivers the search results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. If you contact us, we receive the content of your message so that we can respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, we receive routine log information such as an IP address, browser details, pages requested, and timestamps. We use aggregated patterns to maintain reliability and understand broad readership. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
Our Limited Uses
Technical data helps operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service. We do not sell a list of individual visitors or create individual visitor profiles from ordinary site use.
External Services
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. Those destinations apply their own privacy rules to information submitted there. Their charges, availability, and data practices are outside our control.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support vendors may process technical logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners can receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when a valid legal demand requires it, and otherwise only as needed to operate the service.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection. Logs are kept only for the operational purposes described here. There are no user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained by Maplewood Residents Directory.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from people under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent information, and we will remove it from our contact records.
Your Privacy Choices
Minnesota’s Consumer Data Privacy Act gives qualifying consumers rights regarding covered businesses, including access, correction, deletion, and certain opt-outs. It does not control records held by government offices. Minnesota Government Data Practices Act questions belong with the responsible public custodian under Minn. Stat. ch. 13. For information we hold, use the Contact page; requests are generally limited to contact messages and operational logs.
